Many people utilize VPNs because it helps them feel more secure and at ease when using the internet.

Does a VPN keep you anonymous from Google?

While some apps or services such as Google can see that you are connected to a VPN, they cannot view your location, data, or confidential information. Thus, a VPN does help to keep your online activity safe and protect your personal information when you are using the internet.

Using a VPN

As maintaining your internet privacy is becoming more challenging, a VPN is highly useful. If you use a VPN while online, your web IP address is altered and your internet activity is encrypted and thus it can’t be tracked. Certain internet providers may be aware of your VPN use, but they still cannot view your actual internet activity.

As it is becoming more and more difficult to protect your data’s privacy online, VPN’s help internet users to prevent tracking, collection of confidential data, cybercriminals, and spying. However, is a VPN a comprehensive solution to the matter of internet privacy?

It is normal to wonder whether a VPN provides enough privacy protection when you are using the internet and there are a few important things to understand when using a VPN.

If you don’t use a VPN or privacy tool

If you don’t use a VPN or privacy tool, your actual IP address is available to those websites that you are visiting. Advertisers can also track your internet use, through cookies, whether or not you are using a VPN.

An IP address is not the only means of identifying or tracking a person on the internet, thus it is not a complete solution to internet privacy issues.

Can Google track you if you use a VPN?

Why I Use VPN While I Google Stuff

When I Google stuff on the internet, I always have the VPN on my computer. VPN stands for Virtual Private Network. This is a system that allows you to surf the web and not get tracked by websites in an ISP’s servers. The VPN network routes your internet traffic through several different locations so that when you browse internet sites, the sites that are being tracked are unable to track your location because they are outside of their server’s network. If you know what VPN is and how it works, you can understand why I use it while I Google.

What is the point of using a VPN if you are trying to get an IP address? Because when you search an IP address, you have to enter a lot of random numbers into the search box. It makes it hard for an IP to be matched with its owner. Using a VPN service eliminates the need to enter numbers, because the VPN server intercepts the information before it is sent through.

VPN if you don’t trust every website you visit

When you surf the internet, you need to trust other websites with your information. They might steal your information or send it to someone who will abuse it. When you do this, you are allowing people to get your information without your knowledge. By using a VPN service, you are able to surf the internet in peace. You will still be able to use the internet, but nobody can track you. Therefore, you are not risking your information and you are not allowing other people to take advantage of it.
